South Korea has announced its strongest policies yet to reduce fine dust pollution.<br />The National Council on Climate and Air Quality has outlined 21 measures giving the issue extra attention, especially from December through March when fine dust is at its worst.<br />They include stricter bans on old diesel cars in cities, reducing the operation of coal power plants and cracking down on illegal trash burning in rural areas.<br />From November, the plan seeks to reduce fine dust emissions by 20 percent from last year's levels,.. to around 23-thousand tons.<br />
